Purpose:
Parishioners are urged to stop in for a quiet hour in prayer, with Jesus.
JESUS WILL BLESS YOU, your family and the whole world for this hour of faith you
spend with Him in the Blessed Sacrament. Our chapel is usually open Monday through
Friday during the day.

Adult Altar Servers

Purpose: To serve and assist at
liturgies.

Youth Altar Servers
|
Purpose: Prepare
young people in grades five through twelve to serve.
Meeting: As needed

Music/Cantors
and Musicians

Cantors:
Purpose: To be psalmist and also a song leader for the
congregation. Cantors also teach new music
Meeting: Every Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m.

Purpose: To lead the congregation in singing glory to God and to sing
anthems and special music that would be difficult for the congregation to sing.
Choir sings for : Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and Confirmation.
Meeting: Times vary, but usually on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m.

Ministers

Communion Ministers for Mass.

Ministers to the Homebound
|
Purpose: Take
Communion weekly or monthly to those recovering from illness, those who are homebound due
to a disability or to those who are permanent residents in area nursing homes. Any
volunteer who has completed Eucharistic Minister training may receive additional training
for this ministry

Purpose: We are
members of the Catholic community of St. Michael's, committed to promote, strengthen, and
implement the vision of continuing liturgical renewal in accord with the direction of the
Second Vatican Council under the guidance of the Bishop and the Pastor.
We coordinate the efforts of others responsible for aspects of parish worship in order to
maintain a high level of liturgical competence and integrity.
